Your first visit
First Time Getting Botox? Here's What to Expect
First time Botox appointments with Nikki take about 20 minutes, and most of that is a conversation. Here's how the visit goes, how it feels, and what to do afterward.

How long the visit takes
Plan on 20 minutes. Nikki asks what you'd like to change, watches how your face moves, and explains how many units she recommends and what that costs. The injections take less than five minutes.
Does it hurt?
The needles are very fine and it's over quickly. For more uncomfortable treatments, Nikki uses a strong numbing cream and can add lidocaine.
The first 24 hours after Botox
- Don't rub or press on the treated areas
- No exercise the same day
- No hats or anything that rubs your forehead
- Stay upright for four hours
After the first day, you don't need to be careful.
When it settles
It takes two weeks to fully settle in, so wait until then to judge the result.
How long it lasts
Three to four months. Most clients book their next visit on that cycle.
Who you'll see
Nikki has been doing this for five years and treats every client herself.
“I do a lot of education before any treatment”

Questions
It's not common with neurotoxins, though any injection can bruise. Avoid alcohol and blood thinners for 48 hours before and after, and check with your doctor before stopping a prescribed one.
