Is Xeomin the same as Botox?

They work the same way, and Nikki treats them as the same treatment with the same aftercare and timeline. The difference you'll notice is the price per unit: $10 for Xeomin and $12 for Botox.

How many units will I need?

It depends on the areas and how strong those muscles are. Nikki assesses you in person first, so you know the number and the cost before anything is injected.

It's not common with neurotoxins. Avoiding alcohol and blood thinners for 48 hours before and after lowers the risk. If a doctor prescribed your blood thinner, ask them before you stop it.

The needles are very fine and most injections are over in minutes. For anything more uncomfortable, Nikki uses a strong topical numbing cream and can add lidocaine if you need it.

What they're used for

Both are neurotoxins. A small dose placed in a specific muscle stops it from contracting as hard, so the skin above it stops folding as deeply. The most common areas are:

Forehead lines
The 11s between the brows
Crow's feet at the corners of the eyes

Given a different way, the same product also reduces heavy sweating in the underarms, hands and feet.

You pay for the units you need, not a flat fee per area. Nikki works out your dose after assessing your muscles and tells you the total before she starts.

Your appointment

Plan on about 20 minutes. Most of that time is conversation: what bothers you, what you'd rather keep, and how much product makes sense. The injections take less than five minutes.

Only the first 24 hours need care.

Don't rub or press on the treated areas
Skip exercise for the rest of the day
Avoid hats or anything that sits on your forehead
Stay upright for four hours, with no lying down or bending forward

After that first day, carry on as normal.

Results and upkeep

Give it two weeks to settle in fully before you judge the result. Expect it to last three to four months, which is why regular clients book on that cycle. Sweat treatments last much longer, around 12 to 18 months.
