How skin resurfacing works
The device makes thousands of tiny treatment points in the skin. As they heal, your skin produces new collagen, which smooths texture and firms the area over time.
Nikki uses Opus Plasma, a fractional plasma device.

Your appointment
Set aside an hour and a half to two hours. Numbing takes up a good part of that time.
Healing, day by day
- Days 1 to 3: skin feels and looks like a bad sunburn, red and hot
- After 24 to 48 hours: the heat settles and skin feels rough, with tiny pinpoint scabs
- Around one week: the scabs fall away and you can gently exfoliate what's left
Treat it like a sunburn throughout: stay out of the sun, no heat, gentle skin care with no active ingredients, and no workouts for 48 hours.
How long it lasts
New collagen doesn't wear off, but skin keeps aging, so Nikki suggests a session about once a year to keep results up.
